 HOME INVASION SUSPECTS ON SRT MOST WANTED LIST
SUSPECT POSSIBLY INVOLVED IN HOUSE ROBBERIES : PAUL ADRIANO
This individual is a key leader in the planning and execution of housebreakings and house robberies/ home invasions in the greater Cape Town area. He comes from Owamboland in Namibia and is sus­pected to be currently operating in our areas of operation. Our Special Response Team has been
tasked with assisting SAPS in capturing this suspect and bringing his gang to book.
Information indicates that the above-mentioned suspect is currently involved in house robberies in the Durbanville area. He is a Namibian national, residing in Hout Bay (Imizamo Yethu informal settle­ment) and normally operates with 2 to 3 other Namibian / Angolan nationals. Adriano was recently released on bail. He is inter-alia an accused various Paarl housebreaking cases that were committed during November 2009. The suspects normally gain access to houses by using knives or screwdrivers to pry open windows. They have also in the past used crowbars to open security gates and doors. The group mainly operates at night (between 22:00 and 04:00) and usually target houses situated on the verges of “Green Belts” (i.e. farms, forests, parks, mountainsides, etc). Other areas where these robber­ies occur are: Milnerton, Bellville, Stellenbosch, Claremont and Wynberg (all precincts on the verges of Table Mountain / Hout Bay mountain range, Zwaanswyk and Cecelia Forest and Hout Bay itself) and Paarl.
